Your Communities Need You!
If you are living with Diabetes or you are a Carer, or someone who is simply passionate about helping others, we want to hear from you!
Come and join a highly committed team and have fun, whilst raising Diabetes awareness across the Three Boroughs or just in your local Borough.
We will provide the dedicated training and the necessary support to make you an effective Diabetes Awareness Champion.
The invaluable service provided by Champions has been shaped and influenced by those living with Diabetes, who had a desire to improve services, and deliver health messages peer-to-peer in the community.
Diabetes Champions empower people living with Diabetes to transform their lives for the better, and raise awareness of the condition and risk factors, whilst signposting people to be tested. They also play a vital role in providing training support for “in reach services” for other organisations.
