A team of 15 trained volunteers are available to give talks to raise the level of local awareness about diabetes, particularly amongst BME communities. Talks may cover subjects such as the signs and symptoms of diabetes, how to get tested, where to go for more information and what people can do to avoid or delay the onset of diabetes. The champions also man stalls at health fairs and other community events.

15 trained volunteer mentors are available to help people with diabetes and with pre-diabetes to address the challenges they face and to put themselves in control of their condition.
